Dishes are prepared with seasonal local produce and fresh herbs grown at the Lodge. Ethnic dishes and accompaniments such as mealie pap (local-style polenta) and chakalaka (a hot and spicy relish) are used to give the taste of Africa, but more familiar food is also on the menu.

The Lodge has an excellent wine cellar, of some 600 bottles, with the majority being a selection of quality South African varieties.

The Reserve is well positioned, being not too far from habitation but still deep in the bush, which allows the Lodge to offer a range of activities. At the Lodge itself, you can enjoy two daily game drives, and an optional bush walk.

In addition, there are some optional activities, such as a romantic Sleep out, or pampering treatments at the Spa – where facilities include a gym, steam room, and four treatment rooms.
