Day 1

Arrive Durban Airport and meet your Island-Safari.com representative, who will transfer you to Hotel Izulu situated 40-minutes north of Durban. Check in, settle in and relax on the shores of the warm Indian Ocean.

The Hotel Izulu offers sophisticated elegance and charm, accentuated by service excellence, cutting edge cuisine and luxurious accommodation. The chef at the Izulu Hotel in Ballito, Durban, hosts the finest dining on the Dolphin Coast, in the restaurant Gigi’s,... as well as intimate private dining in the hotel’s wine cellar.

Sumptuously furnished suites, with light-filled bathrooms, refreshment fridges and wireless/cable internet access, overlook an inviting pool and piazza courtyard.

Ballito and Umhlanga are both popular beach resorts situated on the warm Indian Ocean, with everything you need to relax and unwind under sunny blue skies. The long golden beaches are magnificent and restaurants are of an extremely high standard. Wine and beer are also excellent and relatively inexpensive.

Your hotel is situated right on the beach, with its own swimming pool.

Water sports are nearby, as well as championship golf, horse riding, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing.

The casinos and nightlife of Durban are within easy reach, as well as several outstanding shopping malls. All you need for a wonderful beach holiday!

Day 4

After a leisurely breakfast and maybe relaxing on the beach for the last time (time permitting), you will be transferred to Durban Airport. Flight from Durban Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.

Upon arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, you will be met by an Island-Safari.com representative and transferred to Jatinga Country Lodge.

Jatinga Country Lodge is located on the outskirts of the picturesque town of White River, and some 38 kilometres from the Kruger Park’s Numbi entrance gate, it is also an excellent base from which to visit the Panorama route. The Lodge is set in over 30 hectares of beautiful gardens and grounds, with the White River flowing through the lower reaches of the property.

Accommodation is in 16 Superior rooms, and 4 Luxury Suite (one of which is the Honeymoon suite). Décor is varied, with influences from Colonial, Victorian, Provencal, English Country and African Colonial. Many of these rooms also boast outdoor showers. Two of the suites have an English County theme, with open fireplaces in the lounge and bedroom, and magnificent 4 poster beds. The two Colonial suites boast chequered tiled bathrooms, with ball and claw baths. No matter your preference for accommodation, all types are air-conditioned, have satellite TV, offer a mini-bar and snack basket, tea/ coffee making facilities, and have a valet and laundry services.

Although there is much to see in the area, you might also just want to relax at Jatinga. There is an elevated wooden overlooking the River, a secluded pool deck and inviting pool. You might also enjoy a visit to the Lord Milner Pub, or dinner at the Jatinga Restaurant.

Birding is excellent on the property, and there are also two walking trails along the River. In addition, there are a number of activities and excursions that can be arranged, such as scenic helicopter flights, early morning Hot Air Ballooning, horse riding, quad biking, and Kruger Park Tours.

Day 5

After breakfast you will be transferred via the Panorama route and Blyde River Canyon to the Karongwe Private Game Reserve.

Kuname River Lodge is a small, unashamedly exclusive, luxury safari lodge set in about 9,000 hectares of pristine African bush, in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve. They are only 45 minutes drive from the world-famous Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Day 7

After your morning activity and breakfast you will be transferred via road to Hoedspruit Airport, in time for your flight back to OR Tambo International Airport. From this point you will depart under your own arrangements.
