Day 1

Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport under your own arrangements. You will be met by an Island-Safari.com representative who will meet you off your flight and assist you to the next check in point. Fly from OR Tambo International Airport to Hoedspruit Airport.

Road transfer from Hoedspruit Airport to the Balule Private Game Reserve. Check into Toro Yaka where there will be time for some cool beverages and freshening up before your first afternoon/evening game drive.

Toro Yaka, which means "My Dream" in Northern Sotho, is a one-of-a-kind lodge situated in the unforgettably pristine bushveld of Balule, a 30 000 hectare nature conservancy in the Greater Kruger National Park area. Set apart from others by its seclusion, intimacy and privacy, Toro Yaka allows nature lovers to experience wildlife at close proximity.

The lodge has been designed for true bush elegance, and combines personal service and closeness to nature. The six private en-suite double rooms ensure tranquillity and comfort at all times. The cuisine is a fusion of European and traditional African, prepared mostly outdoors over an open fire.

Animals can be viewed at the water hole from the deck, and there is an abundance of bird life in and around the lodge. Game drives and bush walks are accompanied by a professional field guide. The Olifants River, which flows all year-round through Balule, is home to crocodiles and hippos. This is also an area of great scenic splendour, with the northern Drakensberg mountain range being visible from most points.  The lodge is only an hour’s drive from two of the main gates to the Kruger National Park. Other attractions in the area include a wildlife rehabilitation centre, a cheetah project, the famous Timbavati white lions and the Hans Merensky golf club. All bush activities are conducted by Steve, who is a professional SKS trails guide, qualified through the Field guide association of South Africa (FGASA). His 12 years of experience and specialised knowledge of all aspects of nature (Big and Small) make all bush activities truly unforgettable.

The only way to really experience the pulse of the bush is through your feet. Morning bush walks gives you the opportunity to get closer to nature and afternoon, sun downer drives extending into the night, afford potential sightings of nocturnal animals. Bird watching is rewarding, with over 350 species recorded in and 00around the area! Sundowners, whether on game drives or at Toro Yaka Bush Lodge is always a special occasion. Spend time at your leisure at the lodge watching animals come to drink,  catch up on you’re reading or de-stress with one of Nicole's relaxing massages.

Day 4

The following morning will include breakfast before you will be transferred back to OR Tambo International. Flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Windhoek Airport. Depart at around 14h00 (during Namibian wintertime – 13h00) from Windhoek via the scenic and steep Spreetshoogte Pass to the beautifully set Namib Naukluft Lodge. Overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at Namib Naukluft Lodge. The best spot to experience the living desert is on this 13,000 ha farm, which was pronounced as a private nature reserve in 1999 and hosts the upmarket Namib Naukluft Lodge. Stunning sceneries invite you to nature drives and walks. Enjoy your stay in unexpected comfort and friendly hospitality.

Enjoy the ever-changing pastel colours of the beautiful Pro-Namib. Use the morning hours for an easy climb to the top of one of the adjacent granite hills or a walk in the vicinity. Explore the diverse flora and fauna, where the trees grow seemingly out of the stones. Relax at the crystal clear swimming pool during the heat of the day. In the late afternoon you may join a ‘sun downer’ – drive to the natural marble mountains on the farm. Listen to the evening sound of the barking gecko – a concert never to be forgotten. The clear night sky invites you to an unreal stargazing experience. Try to spot the Milky Way and the Southern Cross! We’ll show you the oldest desert on earth. Our friendly staff will make your stay unforgettable. Namib Naukluft Lodge offers 16 tastefully furnished rooms with en-suite facilities and a private, spacious patio with a striking view. Excellent traditional meals are served in the restaurant, on the adjacent veranda or in the Boma from the open fire. The lounge and pool area offer a relaxed atmosphere after an active day in the desert.
