Day 1

Arrive into Cape Town, where you will be met by an Island-Safari.com representative and escorted to your hotel.

Romney Park offers 18 sea-facing suites (with one or two bedrooms), en-suite bathroom, separate lounge and dining room, comprehensively equipped kitchen and private balcony. All suites are sea-facing, and boast a generous terrace – allowing for spectacular views across Table Bay. There is a choice of accommodation from the Luxury Suites, at 65 m², to Senator Suites with 2 bedrooms (main en suite), Ambassador Suites, and the Presidential Suite, with 2 en suite bedrooms, and some 140 m² in size. The suites are all air-conditioned, have under floor heating, and satellite TV.

Guests can enjoy a Wellness breakfast served either in the African style Breakfast Room, in your suite or on your private terrace. Flexible catering arrangements are available on request. Whether you have your choice of favourite dishes brought to your suite, prepared there by a chef, or stocked in your fridge...your requests can be catered for.

Romney Park is close to Cape Town’s city centre, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront complex, golf courses, and some top restaurants.

You might also want to relax at the Hotels spectacular outdoor swimming pool, or enjoy treatments in the Wellness Centre. Here you can enjoy rejuvenating treatments, and you might also wish to indulge in the Hotel’s 2, 5 or 7 night Wellness packages – an excellent way to end your stay in Cape Town

Day 2

Enjoy a full day tour of the beautiful Cape Peninsula.

Day 3

Enjoy a full day tour of the famous Cape Winelands, as this is a private tour, flexibility is the key.

We visit Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Wine-producing Regions; Explore numerous superior Boutique export Wine Estates in these Regions; 3 x Cheese and Wine tasting, with enough opportunity for optional tasting; Informal Cellar Tours;

Day 4

Enjoy a half day tour exploring the “Mother City”.

Day 5

After breakfast you will be met at the hotel and driven to the airport for your flight to OR Tambo International Airport. Arrive into Johannesburg and connect with your flight to Hoedspruit Airport. Road transfer from Hoedspruit Airport to Kuname River Lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. 

Kuname River Lodge is an exclusive luxury safari lodge situated in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve, a 9000 hectare Big Five game reserve near the Kruger National Park. Karongwe is a beautiful wilderness area bordered by the majestic Drakensberg Mountains to the West, and offers excellent game viewing.

Accommodation at Kuname is in five private, luxury chalets each with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower and luxury outdoor bath. Each chalet has a private deck with magnificent views over the surrounding bush. The premier suite is the perfect honeymoon destination and offers your own private, secluded garden leading off from the main bedroom, complete with outdoor shower and bath.

Kuname River Lodge is an affordable alternative to the lodges in the greater Kruger National Park, offering similar game viewing and beautiful surroundings, albeit on a smaller scale. The style of the lodge is small and intimate, where you can experience personalized luxury, great food and great service at a very reasonable cost.

Days 5 – 9

Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive. A typical day consists of an early wake up call at approximately 5:30 am where you will be served tea, coffee and rusks in the Lodge before your start off on your early morning game drive. You will return to the lodge at approximately 10:00 am where you will enjoy a full breakfast. The rest of the morning is yours to enjoy catching up on your sleep, swimming in the pool, browsing in the curio shop or participating in a game walk. Lunch is served at around 13h00. At 15h30 enjoy tea and coffee before setting out on your afternoon/evening game drive. You will return to the lodge at around 19h30 pm in time to get ready for dinner either in the lodge or the Boma (a Boma is a reed enclosed outdoor eating area. You will eat under a starry African night with the calls of the wild in the distance – a truly memorable event).

Day 9

After a morning game drive and some leisure time, you will be driven to Hoedspruit Airport, in time for your flight back to OR Tambo International Airport. From this point you will depart under your own arrangements.
