Day 1

You will depart OR Tambo Airport on a scheduled flight to Hoedspruit Airport where you will be met by a representative of Island-Safari and transferred by road to Tangala Game Lodge in the Thornybush Game Reserve.

3 x nights Tangala Game Lodge fully inclusive of 3 meals per day, 2 game drives per day, 1 guided bushwalk per day and all teas and coffees.

Tangala Safari Camp in the Private Thornybush Game Reserve is one of the last remaining authentic experiences in South Africa that have been a legacy of the family for more than 3 generations. This intimate and exclusive private safari camp is situated in the 22 000 acre Thornybush Private Nature Reserve, a prime ecological area abounding in wildlife.

Tangala Safari Camp succeeded in maintaining its earthly appeal after the recent upgrading of their facilities. They continually strive to recreate the original down to earth hospitality of years gone by. Early explorers created a legacy of adventure and discoveries, relive the romance of old at Tangala in the comfort and security of the Safari Camp.

At Tangala Safari Camp they have created the feel of Africa long forgotten, the team strives to give all guests the ultimate African bush experience.

Accommodation at the camp will bring back memories of a bygone era of the "Colonial Africa" long forgotten.

The five twin bedded thatched chalets have been interior designed to provide the ultimate in rustic luxury. All chalets have en suite facilities and own private viewing patio.

The camp is electricity free with kerosene lamps/lantern lighting being provided.

Cooking is performed on either gas or open fire. The cuisine has been specially created to reflect Africa in all her moods.

Meals are social occasions and a time to listen and share fascinating tales of the bush or to sit back and reflect on the day passed. Meals include a full breakfast/brunch, high tea, snacks and Boma dinner.

Wine connoisseurs from the Cape have designed the comprehensive wine list, and all dietary and culinary requirements are met at Tangala.

Day 4

Following a final exciting game drive at Tangala and a delicious breakfast, you will again be collected and transferred back to Hoedspruit Airport for your scheduled flight back to OR Tambo.
