From R 4 380 per person sharing Day 1 Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport you will be met by an Island-Safari.com representative. Pick up your rental car, and start your three and half hours drive to Tomjachu Bush Lodge.
The lodge is located in the Bekker Mountains, 800m above sea level. The Mpumalanga-Kruger International Airport is a 25 minute drive and Kruger National Park (Malelane Gate) is a 40 minute drive. Tomjachu Bush Lodge is an exclusive private/nature game reserve, set over a 1000 acres of beautiful country. Breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. There is a large variety of bird life and a variety of game, from Zebra, Kudu, Giraffe, Impala, Blesbok to their two female Ostrich’s, who seem to be in charge of all. Game drives are offered or one can freely enjoy walking the property. There is plenty to do in the region: in White River you can visit the Casterbridge Farm Shopping Centre and its renowned motor museum. Browse through the multitude of creative and artistic shops. Peruse the fine linen, furniture and jewellery that can be found in White River while pondering on which of the fine restaurants you'll be dining at. The famous Kruger National Park is less than 40 minutes drive to the Malelane Gate on the national N4 road. Day visits to the Kruger can be arranged in open safari vehicles with qualified rangers and trackers. Maputo, capital of neighbouring Moçambique is approximately 2 hours drive on the N4 toll road. Check into Tomjachu Bush Lodge for the next two nights on a Bed and Breakfast Basis. Day 2 Today you are free to spend the day is at leisure to explore the Panorama route at your own pace, visiting Bourke’s luck potholes, God’s Window, Mac Mac Falls, the historic town of Pilgrims Rest and maybe having the best pancakes in South Africa in Graskop. We can even arrange a Daytrip to Kruger or Swaziland for you. You also have the option of an Elephant Back Safari (These activities are not included and needs to be pre-arranged)
Overnight Tomjachu Bush Lodge – inclusive of breakfast Day 3 Depart Tomjachu this morning after breakfast. You can drive through the Kruger National Park (Suggestion: Enter at Paul Kruger Gate and drive through Kruger Park and Exit at the Orpen Gate. It’s important that you leave early as you have quite a distance to cover and since you would be travelling in Kruger Park, you will have to adhere to the speed limits). Check into Hongonyi Game Lodge where there will be time for some cool beverages and freshening up before your first activity. Overnight at Hongonyi Game Lodge on a full board basis. Day 5 This morning after breakfast and your morning activity drive to the Blyde River Canyon where you will check into Otters Den River Lodge. Selected Optional Activities: Guided bush walks are offered by arrangement. An expert field guide will accompany you on an unforgettable 1-2 hour walk around the island. We run an airline called Sun Catchers Hot Air Balloon Safaris offering dawn flights over "Big 5" game areas near Hoedspruit.
