Tambo International Airport this morning for your 5 hour drive to the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. Check into Kings Camp where there will be time for some cool beverages and freshening up before your first afternoon/evening game drive. Overnight at Kings Campon a fully inclusive basis Kings Camp is situated in the north-eastern corner of the Timbavati private nature reserve and has been in operation as a game lodge since 1995. The ten Luxury Suites all have indoor and private outdoor showers. Beautifully and tastefully appointed with all the luxury's at hand. From romantic, soft cascading Mosquito Nets, Remote controlled air conditioners, purposefully stocked mini bar fridge, tea and coffee facilities. For your comfort, there are Gowns and Mosquito Repellents as well as Umbrellas and Torches. Your Suite has its own Safe and Telephone for your convenience. Kings Camp offers a lounge/dining room, bar, pool terrace and a game viewing platform which overlooks a very active waterhole. Other facilities include the curio shop, laundry, valet, fax, gym and library with internet facilities.
There is an exceptional wine-cellar and South African cuisine is served. Any specialised dietary requests will be catered for - prior notice required.
Day 2 Your one full day on safari will be spent on game drives early in the mornings and late in the afternoons with time in between to just relax and be spoiled by the lodge staff. Overnight at Kings Campon a fully inclusive basis Day 3 Depart Kings Camp this morning after your morning activity and breakfast. Drive to the Thornybush Private Game Reserve and check into Jackalberry Lodge where there will be time for some cool beverages and freshening up before lunch and your first afternoon activity.
Jackalberry Lodge is situated within the Thornybush Private Game Reserve. The lodge is named after the beautiful Jackalberry Tree that occurs widely in the bushveld. It offers guests spectacular views, understated comfort and tranquillity in the heart of the African bush and is ideal for families, friends and couples. Look forward to delicious bushveld dinners served under the African sky. Experience the comfort of chalet style rooms offering understated luxury en suite bathrooms with feature bath, double hand basins as well as indoor and outdoor showers. Guest rooms have two twin beds or one king size bed. All rooms are equipped with mini-bars, electronic room safe, hair-dryer, tea and coffee-making facilities, telephone, mosquito nets and air-conditioning. All rooms open onto patios. Facilities include the Swimming Pool, the Curio Shop, Conference Facilities, the Library and Boma. A typical day begins with a morning game drive in open safari vehicles guided by highly trained rangers and trackers. More than sixty species of wildlife can be found in the immediate vicinity of the lodge, including lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, elephant, hyena and cheetah. Later, relax on your patio or by the swimming pool, while enjoying the tranquil setting. Afternoon game drives offer more opportunities to view wildlife, including more than 280 species of birds, which have been recorded in this paradise. Evenings are filled with sumptuous dinners to be enjoyed "al fresco" at the "Boma" or inside by the fire.
